High Pressure Water Jetting (HPWJ)

High pressure jetting is one of our most used methods of unblocking and cleaning drainage systems. It used water jets that are propelled at pressures over 2000psi to break up blockages and remove encrustation, hard debris and silt.

Drainage problems are often caused by ongoing build-up of everyday waste, food, silt, fat, scale and grease. Overtime, these add to each other until one day, you experienced a blocked drain.

The debris is jetted back to the manhole chamber where it will be removed using vaccumation and stored in the tanker before being transported to a licensed transfer station for disposal.

HPWJ is an immediate and cost-effective way of cleaning and maintaining pipelines and drainage systems. It can reduce the need for disruptive excavation in order to clear blocked drains.

HPWJ is suitable for pipe work sizes ranging from 100mm up to 2000mm in diameter, and if undertaken regularly can increase the life span of pipelines and drainage systems.

Our units carry a range of different jetting nozzles like blockage jets, bomb jets, silt jets and spinning jets.

When can HPWJ be used

Debris removal – our jets soften and emulsify blockages, loosed hard debris and even break through tree roots.

Drain cleaning – The combination of water pressure and volume of water (90 gallons per minute) delivers a clean that cannot be achieved by other means. It removes grease, sludge, silt and limescale in pipework to restore them to a like-new condition.

Septic Tank Cleaning and maintenance – We use high pressure jets to keep pipework, tanks clean and ensure your septic tank is in excellent working condition.

Regular maintenance – The water pressure cuts deposits from the inner wall of the pipe to increase the longevity of the pipework.

We utilise our jetting units with our off road tracked remote reel. See our off-road page for more details.

Root Removal

Broken drains are often caused by roots which have grown close to moving the pipes out of position or even into your pipes. In these cases, removal of the root is vital to ensuring that the problem can be fixed and that it never arises again. Once the roots have been removed a patch liner can be installed to reseal the pipe. Roots are generally removed with the use of a spinning root cutter jet which is closely monitored by our CCTV equipment to ensure that we always leave the pipework in the best possible condition.
